ABOUT US~
Welcome to Rocky Mountain Trail Rider! Some may ask, why another web site? Well, hopefully our mission statement will speak for itself. To expand on that, this site was designed to be a hub for off-road motorcycle clubs, motorcycle organizations, motorcycle racing, motorcycle news, and motorcycle related businesses in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. Want to meet new people to ride or race with? Check out the Clubs section. Want to know about the race scene? Check out the Competition section. Need to know what's going on, and when? Check out Upcoming Events.
Along with the fun comes responsibility. Our sport is under constant siege by groups who exist specifically to expel us from the public lands we use. For the most part, they operate in a cycle of crisis. If they don't have a crisis to attend to, then they don't have a cause to generate income. If they don't have income, then they don't exist at all. Therefore they need to create a crisis, for the sake of their existence. That's not to say all they do is bad, but we will always be in their cross hairs, justified or not.
Our responsibility is to be good custodians of the land we use. That means "Staying the Trail," managing sound levels with quiet, efficient mufflers, and practicing low impact trail use. Be a good example and insist others that ride with you to be the same. Get politically alert and involved. Strength is in numbers and a small band has been holding down the fort for too long. Reinforcements are needed. We hope to provide you with the information and tools needed to be a responsible, engaged asset to the off-road community.
We also intend to be a place for our local businesses and race organizations to be featured and recognized. Only through a return on their business investment can they exist to serve us. Only through participation will we have races and other events. Only through sales will your local shop be able to stock the parts you need, or sponsor a promising racer, or donate prizes to a local organization. Let's support those around us.
Lastly, we intend to have some fun. That's why we're here isn't it? This place is designed to be interactive. Please send us stories, pictures and ideas. Share your favorite trails. Did you get a new part or accessory? Send us a product review. Did a local business treat you right? Mention it in the forum. Most of all though, keep coming back. Our commitment is to keep this site fresh and stimulating, informative, and fun.
